Job Description:

Electrical Enginner  – Retail Environment

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a facilities management provider for an Electrical Enginner to be based on a retail site, working as part of an on-site engineering team.

This role will suit a qualified tradesperson with a strong electrical bias and experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance within a commercial or retail environment.

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical systems, M&E plant, and general building fabric, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance as directed by the Contract Manager
• Fault finding, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical services and equipment
• Supporting wider site team with non-specialist building fabric tasks
• Updating and closing PPMs on the site CAFM system
• Ensuring engineering, QA, and Health & Safety standards are maintained
• Completing site documentation and maintaining accurate records
• Responding to call-outs and attending site emergencies when required
• Working at height and within plant room environments (PPE and access provided)
• Maintaining company tools and equipment in a safe condition

Requirements:

• Electrically biased trade background
• Experience within retail, commercial, or FM environments
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Proactive attitude and strong team-working skills
• Willingness to support the contract and wider site team
