Financial Controller

Nottinghamshire

You will be joining one of the UK’s fastest-growing logistics and supply chain organisations, going through a growth period. We are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller who can develop the finance team, introduce new systems, processes, and cost savings to support long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive awareness, accountability, and responsibility for logistics, product supply, and overall supply chain
• Full responsibility for P&L of operational Performance – daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Recommending improvements on revenue, cost, and margins, and influencing commercial decisions within the business.
• Digital forecasts
• Developing and leading on financial reporting, including systems, tools, and process setup.
• Managing all financial planning processes for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of the performance of the company in line with the business plan.
• Budget control
• Implementing cost-saving initiatives
• Management of a small team
• Understanding of stock, logistics
• Monthly Management accounts and weekly cash flow.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns

Experience needed

• CIMA / ACCA qualified
• Come from an SME – commercially aware
• Previous management of the P&L
• Advanced Excel
• Manufacturing accounting experience
• E-commerce accounting experience
• A good communicator who can support the board

Location:

• Bingham
• Monday to Friday working hours (40 per week)
• Salary up to £65,000 + benefits
