Are you an experienced Head of Operations looking for a new challenge and implement change? We are working with a reputable, established manufacturer who are looking to recruit for a Head of Operations who can help develop a small team of managers and bring in new ideas to improve operational performance.

Salary & Hours: £75,000 basic + 20% Bonus + £650pm car allowance (total package exceeds £90,000). Flexible hours around core days. 25 days holiday + banks.

This Head of Operations job will suit:

• Proven experience and have a track record in improving operational performance, preferably within an engineering / manufacturing environment.
• Strong man management skills. The position has 5 direct reports, all of which are Managers and are keen to continue developing.
• A strategic mindset and ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement by implementing new processes.
• A wider appreciation for HSE, financial accountability, and manufacturing capacity within an engineering environment.

The Head of Operations job will involve:

• Oversee day to day operations of the production facility & financial aspects of the operations in line with budgets and P&L.
• Leading a team of Managers and continuing to offer support and development where needed.
• Cooperating with wider sites to ensure Operations are as efficient as possible.
• Promoting continuous improvement and implementing new processes to develop manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide relevant information and detail on an annual basis for the factory budgeting process.
• Develop and maintain best practices in HSE awareness.

This job is commutable from Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, East Midlands.
