Management Accountant

Full-time, Permanent | Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week

We’re recruiting a Management Accountant for a friendly and growing finance team based in Castle Donington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone studying towards ACCA or CIMA who’s keen to take ownership of their role and develop into a more senior position over time.

As part of a wider European group, you’ll gain valuable exposure to multi-site operations, international reporting, and the chance to be hands-on in strategic projects like ERP rollouts.

What you’ll be doing as the Management Accountant:

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare detailed budgets and cash forecasts for group reporting.
• Cost Analysis: Monitor costs and support cost centre managers with accurate reporting.
• Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate month-end accounts, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Performance Reporting: Track KPIs, analyse variances, and assess business performance.
• Reconciliations: Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Decision Support: Provide financial insight to support strategic decisions including pricing, investment appraisals, and risk assessments.
• Internal Controls: Help maintain internal controls and compliance.
• Project Management: Support ERP system rollouts across the group from a finance perspective.
• Audit & Compliance: Lead the year-end audit process and produce statutory returns (VAT, packaging tax, F-gas, etc).

Additional tasks include:

• Collaborating with the Purchase Ledger and Credit Control teams.
• Assisting with customer rebates and fleet management.
• Supporting customs and statistical reporting (TSS, ONS).
• General ad hoc reporting to support the business.

As the Management Accountant you will be:

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
• Confident presenting figures and ideas to senior management
• Proactive with positive attitude
• Excellent Excel and general IT skills
• A genuine interest in progressing within finance
• Comfortable working extra hours at key times such as month-end/year-end
