Salary: Up to £17ph
Job Type: Permanent, full time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Press Brake Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing team within a supportive and forward-thinking working environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a Safran Daley press brake machinery (e.g. Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar brands).
• Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
• Measure and inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances.
• Carry out basic maintenance and daily machine checks.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary for different materials or bend angles.
• Work to tight production deadlines while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
• Report any machine faults or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• Previous experience operating a press brake in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Experience with programming is desirable.
• Knowledge of different metals and materials used in fabrication.

Shifts & Pay rate:

• Up to £17ph DOE
• Days and afters available dependent on the candidate’s preference
• 6am-2pm Mon-Fri – Days
• 14:00-12:00 Mon-Thurs – Afters
