Job Description:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Production Manager at Regent Engineers.
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves leading production teams, optimising processes, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, and control production to ensure efficient use of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Work to production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and company objectives.
- Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and team members to build a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support uninterrupted production.
- Analyse production data and generate reports on efficiency, quality, and output metrics.
- Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Support new product introductions, equipment installations, and process validations as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, production planning, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and quality management systems
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
