As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee the day‑to‑day commercial and contractual management of a major infrastructure project, reporting directly into a Commercial Manager. We are looking for Commercial professionals with strong NEC contract knowledge, financial reporting expertise, and a solid understanding of procurement policy, all paired with a passion for delivering value. A collaborative approach, strong problem‑solving capability, critical thinking, and excellent communication and negotiation skills will help you thrive in this role.

As these projects are in early stages of development, clear and concise communication is essential, alongside strong negotiation skills that will help uphold and strengthen key relationships on behalf of Cadent.

This role sits specifically within our Capital Expenditure Standard & Major Projects portfolio, which includes key programmes such as pipeline diversions, AGI rebuilds, and metering system upgrades. These projects are currently at various stages of estimation and design. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Professional to further develop their skillset by contributing to an exciting and innovative major infrastructure project.

This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a blend of office, site, and home working. You’ll travel between Cadent and Consultant Offices (West Midlands & London) with occasional site visits which may include the North West (North Wales, Greater Manchester, Lancashire), East Coast (Lincolnshire to Nottinghamshire), East Midlands (Nottingham, Leicester) or North London (Slough, Essex) - A Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
