Shape the future of hydrogen infrastructure through commercial excellence
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our Capital Delivery team on a permanent basis.
You will work Monday to Friday, with a mix of office, site and home working and the role will involve regular travel between Cadent and consultant offices in the West Midlands and London, with occasional visits to project sites in the North West (North Wales, Greater Manchester, Lancashire) or the East Coast (Lincolnshire to Nottinghamshire), so a full UK driving licence is essential.
This role supports some of Cadent’s most significant and innovative Hydrogen Major Projects, including HyNet and the East Coast Hydrogen Pipeline. These projects are at varying stages of estimation and design and represent a once‑in‑a‑generation investment in the UK’s future energy infrastructure.
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee the day‑to‑day commercial and contractual management of major infrastructure projects, while reporting into a Commercial Manager to ensure value, governance and control throughout the project lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial professional to further develop their skillset within a technically complex, high‑profile and evolving engineering environment.
Why you’ll love this role:
This role offers breadth, influence and the opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK’s hydrogen transition.
You’re a commercial professional with strong experience working in regulated environments and a passion for delivering value on major infrastructure projects.
At Cadent, we’re thrilled to be part of the future of UK energy!
We have a clear roadmap to drive our performance to the forefront of our industry and support the UK government in achieving its net zero targets by 2050.
