The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and support strong progress across the sciences. Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience welcomed where applicable)
Supporting students’ understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (specialism considered)
Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress to raise attainment
Creating a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations
Working collaboratively with the Head of Science, technicians, Teaching Assistants and wider staff
Adapting teaching strategies to support students with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs
Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
Contributing to enrichment activities, practical investigations and intervention programmes
About You
We are looking for a Science Teacher who is:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred – ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply
Confident teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
Passionate about Science and inspiring young people to learn
Calm, reflective and consistent in their approach to behaviour management
A strong communicator and effective team player
Organised, adaptable and confident in managing practical lessons safely
