Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a temporary role in a specialist SEND school in Leicestershire. This is a full-time position, 5 days a week, starting November 2025 and continuing until April 2026.

This school supports pupils aged 4 to 19 years old with a range of additional needs and is equipped with fantastic facilities, including a heated swimming pool, soft play sensory areas, multi-sensory rooms and more – providing an inspiring environment for both staff and students.

The role:

• Supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs on a 1:1 and group basis

• Assisting with learning activities and adapting resources to meet individual needs

• Promoting independence, inclusion, and personal development for all pupils

• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Ideally experience as an SEN TA, though candidates with relevant SEND experience from other fields will also be considered

• Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to different needs and learning styles

• A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
