Job Description:
Role: Senior Residential Support Worker
Based: Leicestershire
Rate: £28,360 - £35,811 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota with one sleep-in per week
Service Overview: The UK's largest Children's Charity are currently on an exciting and innovative Journey alongside Leicestershire County Council to deliver a range of Children's homes for the most vulnerable children & young people in Leicestershire.
Some of the responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Build trust and develop nurturing relationships that promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
- Work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
- Lead and support the Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, etc.
- Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
- Ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Promote, monitor, and maintain a safe environment at all times.
They will be focusing on the following competencies/ requirements:
- Supervisory experience within a residential care setting
- Relevant experience working with children, young people and vulnerable families/ parents
- Experience of residential support/ work in a support capacity with children/ young people/ Supported Living and Housing
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience of working with partner agencies i.e. Social Services, NHS staff, School staff and specialist charities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The service is staffed Monday to Sunday, 24/7. You will work one 24-hour shift a week and one to two 10-12 hour shifts a week. Sleep-ins are paid at £62.40 per sleep-in.
