Site Engineer

Job Description:

A civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a bridge construction project involving reinforced concrete (RC) structures in Coventry.

This role is suited to an engineer with strong on-site experience in RC works, particularly within bridge construction or major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for RC structures and bridge components

• Overseeing subcontractor works and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications

• Coordinating with the project team to manage site activities efficiently

• Conducting quality checks, ITPs and ensuring as-built records are maintained

• Supporting the site management team in health & safety and daily reporting

Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering RC structures on civil engineering projects

• Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods and processes

• Proficient in setting out and use of surveying instruments (e.g., Leica/Trimble)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• CSCS card and relevant site certifications

• Location: Coventry

• Duration: 6 – 8 months

• IR35 Status: Outside IR35

• Payment Options: Ltd Company or CIS

• Rate: £330 – £380 per day
