Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Salary: £100 - £115 per day

Class Mate is proud to be partnering with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of NG5 to appoint a committed SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting this September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of KS2 pupils with additional needs. You'll play a key role in supporting learning, encouraging independence, and helping to create a positive, nurturing classroom environment where every child can thrive.

The Role:

• Providing targeted support for KS2 pupils with special educational needs

• Supporting emotional regulation, learning engagement and behaviour management

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement support strategies

• Assisting with in-class learning, small group interventions, and individualised tasks

• Contributing to an inclusive, calm and supportive learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in KS2

• Confident managing a range of needs including autism, ADHD and SEMH

• Patient, adaptable and able to build strong, positive relationships

• Comfortable working both 1:1 and with small groups within the classroom

• Committed to inclusive, pupil-centred education
