Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Secondary Setting
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | Immediate Start Available
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Daily Rate: £90-£100 (based on experience and qualifications)
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a successful secondary school based in Corby. This is a long-term, full-time role with an immediate start, offering the chance to become a key part of a supportive and inclusive school community.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and the wider support team to provide learning and pastoral support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your role will be varied - from assisting in the classroom and delivering targeted interventions, to supporting individual students with additional needs to help them access the curriculum and reach their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in lessons, both in small groups and one-to-one.
Help adapt resources and learning strategies for individual learners.
Assist the class teacher with daily classroom routines and behaviour management.
Provide support for students with SEND and contribute to their individual learning plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued.
What We're Looking For:
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant school-based experience).
Previous experience working in a secondary school or with young people aged 11-16.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting all learners.
A team player who communicates effectively with both staff and students.
A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Tradewind.
