Teaching Assistant – Derby

Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

TeacherActive are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive partner schools in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant learning environment and make a real impact on pupils' education.

While a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who hold a Level 2 qualification and have strong knowledge and significant classroom experience.

We work closely with a variety of schools across Derby, building strong relationships to ensure we match the right people with the right schools. This position offers a chance to work across a range of classes, supporting both teachers and pupils in a meaningful and rewarding way.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their experience, contribute to pupils' progress and gain exposure to a variety of teaching styles and approaches.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or Level 2 with substantial experience)

• A calm, patient and caring approach to working with children

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

• Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

• A proactive, flexible and reliable attitude

• Has experience working in a school or educational setting in the UK

• Is passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential

• Can work collaboratively with teachers and other staff

• Is committed to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
