Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

Supply Star Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to start on a temporary contract through an agency, with the potential to transfer to a permanent school contract following a successful probationary period.

To be considered for this role you must have experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school or similar setting and a current DBS certificate.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment where every pupil can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with additional learning needs.

• Assist with classroom preparation, resource organisation, and behaviour management.

• Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners.
