SEN Teaching Assistant, Year 2

Full-time / Part-time | Starting ASAP

Class Mate is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of ASD and ADHD to join a welcoming primary school in the NG5 area to starting as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for a patient, dedicated TA with experience supporting pupils with additional needs, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

The role:

• Providing targeted 1:1 and small group SEN support

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs

• Assisting with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

• Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, etc.)

• Be calm, patient, and consistent

• Understand the importance of routine and clear boundaries

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable)

• Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
