Toolmaker (tool room machinist)

Wigston (LE18)

Monday - Friday

£17.80p/hr (£14.71p/hr during initial training)

Urgent: Full Time

We are looking for experienced toolmaker who can commit to a rotating shift within a busy and rapidly expanding aerospace company in Wigston, and open to be trained on new machines.

This is a role working a 3 shift rotation day, late AND night shift

What you will be doing

You will be using both CNC & manual machinery to re-cut or manufacturing tooling for Milling & EDM machinery.

You will be carrying out a variety of work from CNC milling - surface grinding - bench assembly - manual machining.

Shift rotation

Days - Monday to Thursday 05:45 - 13:45 Friday 05:45 - 10:45

Afternoon - Monday to Thursday 13:45 - 21:45 Friday 10:45 - 15:45

Nights - Monday to Thursday 21:45 - 05:45 Friday 15:45 - 20:45

Your initial training is on fixed days (average 2 - 4 weeks), then moved to the rotating shift pattern. While training you will be on £14.71 then once on rotating pattern moved up to £17.80.

To be considered - you MUST have experience as a toolmaker, be able to use precision measuring instruments and be flexible enough to work the shift pattern without issue.
