Location: Magna Park Lutterworth 

Full-Time:  4 on 4 off shift pattern 

Day & Night roles available

Salary: £33,000 - £40,000

About the Role

As a Transport Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our growing transport operation—responsible for creating efficient daily delivery schedules, allocating vehicles and drivers, and responding to real-time challenges. Your planning will directly impact customer satisfaction, compliance, and operational efficiency.

This role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while managing multiple moving parts through system driven tools.

What You'll Be Doing

• Route & Shift Planning: Develop daily transport plans and driver rotas, ensuring efficiency, legality, and compliance with working time regulations.
• Driver & Vehicle Coordination: Brief drivers on routes and safety requirements. Ensure appropriate vehicle allocation and coordinate with fleet for servicing and availability.
• Systems & Records Management: Use planning systems such as Microlise, ESP &, TruTac to log data and monitor performance, incidents, and driver records.
• Communication & Reporting: Act as the first point of contact for drivers during shifts, keeping customer service updated on any disruptions and producing daily/weekly performance reports.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transport operations align with legal, health & safety, and company policies. Manage driver documentation and assist with digital tachograph data entry.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow planners, warehouse teams, and managers to align logistics with depot activities and resolve issues as they arise.
