Business Development Manager | Hybrid
Are you an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional looking for your next challenge? A well-established manufacturer of high-quality timber fire and security door-sets is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to drive sales and growth from Leicester to the Scottish Boarder.
The Role:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key contacts within housing associations, local authorities, and their contractor networks.
- Drive new business by converting leads into sales using a structured, proactive approach.
- Present and promote the company's products and services to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to maximise business opportunities.
- Identify, assess, and validate sales opportunities to ensure alignment with the company's offerings.
- Represent the company on relevant procurement frameworks and portals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations.
- Provide on-site support and technical expertise to customers as required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and opportunities.
Ideal Candidates will …
- Have a proven track record of success in sales within the doors, housing, local authority or construction sectors.
- Is comfortable managing tenders, proposals and framework agreements.
- Has experience working with technical construction products.
- Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Is a natural networker with the tenacity to engage key decision-makers.
- Builds strong, trusted relationships with clients and becomes their go-to advisor.
- Has a strong desire to learn about the company's products and solutions.
- Is willing to travel extensively across the target geography.
- Consistently meets or exceeds sales targets in a business development role.
