About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a highly reputable and well-established energy brokerage based in Leicester. This is a senior sales role suited to a high-performing energy professional who thrives in a target-driven environment and is motivated by both financial reward and long-term career progression.
You will play a key role in driving new business growth, managing high-value client relationships, and contributing to the continued success of a business known for its strong culture, ethical approach, and genuine focus on employee wellbeing.
Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, target and secure new B2B energy opportunities
Manage and grow a portfolio of SME and larger commercial clients
Deliver consultative gas and electricity procurement solutions
Negotiate and close high-value contracts with energy suppliers
Own the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract completion
Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers
Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts and reporting via CRM systems
Stay informed on market trends, pricing and regulatory changes
Consistently exceed revenue and performance targets
Proven B2B sales experience within the energy sector is essential
Experience from an energy brokerage or energy supplier
Demonstrable success in new business development
Strong understanding of business gas and electricity procurement
Confident negotiator with a consultative sales approach
Track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
Highly organised, self-motivated and commercially driven
Competitive basic salary of £35,000 - £38,000
Uncapped commission with realistic OTE upwards of £100,000
Monday to Friday working hours (no weekends)
