SEN Teaching Assistant (Hinckley)
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
Rate of Pay: £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are a recruitment agency specializing in supporting schools across the UK, and we've partnered with a fantastic school in Hinckley to find a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with children aged 5-11 who have complex needs, providing vital support to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a SEN school setting, looking to make a real difference in the lives of children.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting children with complex needs in both academic and personal development.
Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning plans and individualised activities.
Promoting inclusion, encouraging participation, and supporting social and emotional development.
Providing one-to-one and small group support, ensuring children's individual needs are met.
Collaborating with the class teacher to monitor progress and ensure the best possible outcomes.
Supporting with personal care needs where required.
Encouraging independence and positive behavior throughout the school day.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN in UK schools.
Experience supporting children with complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other related conditions.
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A proactive and nurturing attitude.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
