This is a key role within the logistics team, reporting directly to the Transport Manager, where you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily movement of the transport fleet — including sub-contractors — to maximise efficiency and deliver high levels of customer service.

Job Title: Day/Night Transport Planner / Operator
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Schedule: 4 on 4 off | 06:00 – 18:00
Work Environment: Office-based
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning: Efficiently plan fleet and sub-contractor operations to meet business needs
System Use: Confidently use transport and logistics systems to support effective planning
Operational Oversight: Support night trunking operations to ensure smooth handovers and consistent service delivery
Service Delivery: Identify and resolve service performance issues alongside the Transport Manager
Customer Focus: Understand and exceed customer expectations and delivery standards
Communication: Ensure consistent communication across the team and with management
Documentation Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all transport documents meet legal requirements
Fleet Support: Assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling and compliance to ensure roadworthiness
Driver Support: Actively engage with the driver fleet to understand and respond to concerns
Licence Compliance: Understand and comply with Operator Licence requirements
Team Contribution: Take on additional tasks as needed to support the wider transport department

Industry Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the transport or Amazon network

Flexible & Adaptable: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and open to shifting priorities
Proactive: Always looking for ways to improve systems and processes
Language Skills: Romanian-speaking is beneficial due to the nature of the workforce
