Teaching Assistant - SEMH & Behaviour Support
Location: Leicestershire (LE8)
Pay: £90-£100 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term-time only)
Start Date: Trial days commencing week of 27th October
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Long Term Futures are looking for an energetic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist SEMH provision in Leicestershire. The school supports pupils aged 4-16 who need additional help with emotional regulation, confidence and engagement in learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on with young people - particularly if you have experience in sports, coaching, youth work, or mentoring and are keen to make a positive impact in an educational environment.
Your Role
- Support pupils with SEMH needs through 1:1 and small-group sessions.
- Encourage positive behaviour, resilience and focus throughout the school day.
- Assist in lessons, outdoor learning and structured activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver consistent support.
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help students re-engage with education.
About You
- Experience supporting children or young people (education, youth, care or sport).
- Calm, confident and proactive when managing challenging behaviour.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
