We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work for a Construction Main contractor based in Market Harborough. They specialise in industrial and logistics projects across the UK.

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries with vendors.

• Assist with bank reconciliations and the allocation of incoming and outgoing payments.

• Support credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments where required.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounting data is up to date.

• Assist with month-end procedures, including preparing journals and account reconciliations.

• Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with ad hoc accounting duties.

• Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar finance role is desirable.

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar is advantageous.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

• A proactive and reliable team player with strong communication skills.

• AAT qualification or studying towards AAT is desirable but not essential.

• Salary up to £38,000 and company pension.
