Full-Time Administrator:
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £26,000–£27,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, with 9.00am–3.00pm working patterns considered
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: Office-based
The National Allotment Society (NAS) is looking for a friendly, organised and confident Administrator to join our small Head Office team.
This is a varied administrative role with a particular focus on supporting our network of volunteers across the country. You'll help ensure volunteers receive a welcoming and well-organised experience, have access to the information and training they need, and have a clear point of contact at Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support volunteer recruitment, induction and onboarding, keeping volunteer records accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate training, workshops, development activities, meetings and events.
- Respond to volunteer enquiries and liaise with regional volunteers and Head Office colleagues.
- Gather information about regional activities and help keep website and regional information current.
- Prepare straightforward information, guidance and communications for volunteers and colleagues.
- Follow up actions and information to keep processes on track.
- Provide occasional general office administration and support.
About You
- Previous administrative or coordination experience.
- Organised, methodical and comfortable managing a varied workload.
- Approachable, helpful and confident communicating by telephone and in writing.
- Accurate and attentive to detail, with good follow-through.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and databases.
- Able to work independently, use your initiative and handle confidential information appropriately.
- Patient and supportive when helping others.
- Experience working with volunteers, membership organisations, training or events would be advantageous but is not essential.
What We Offer
- £26,000–£27,000 per annum.

Working Hours: This is advertised as a full-time position, although applications from candidates seeking approximately 9.00am–3.00pm will also be considered. Salary and benefits will be adjusted pro rata where appropriate.
