Architect – Extra-Care Sector

Ready to lead the design of homes that genuinely change lives? A multi-award-winning design practice in Slough is looking for an Architect to take on a leading role in its Extra Care and later living portfolio.

The Practice
This respected, award-winning practice has built its name on Extra Care, supported living and specialist care accommodation. Steady growth and a strong pipeline of new schemes mean there’s room for a talented Architect to shape projects, influence the direction of the studio and grow alongside it.

The Role
As an Architect, you’ll take ownership of projects from first concept through to completion. You’ll be the trusted point of contact for clients, steering schemes through planning and technical stages while guiding a team of architects and technologists. Just as importantly, you’ll help bring the next generation of talent through.

Senior Architect Requirements

• ARB registered Architect (RIBA membership desirable)
• Significant post-qualification experience in UK practice, with a track record of running projects through all RIBA stages and leading teams
• Strong Revit skills, used on live projects
• Background in Extra Care or Healthcare sectors is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Thorough understanding of the UK planning process, Building Regulations and CDM responsibilities
• Confident presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead client meetings
• Full UK driving licence
