Assistant Team Manager - Care Leavers Team

Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: £29 Umbrella Rate
Contract: 3 months

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Team Manager to support our Care Leavers Team, helping young people transition successfully from care into independent adulthood.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside the Team Manager to provide effective supervision, support staff development, and ensure high-quality services are delivered to care-experienced young people aged 16-25.

As Assistant Team Manager, you will:

• Support the operational management of the Care Leavers Team.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and mentoring to Personal Advisers and social care staff.
• Assist in managing complex casework and decision-making.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities and corporate parenting duties are met.
• Promote positive outcomes in education, employment, training, health, accommodation, and emotional wellbeing.
• Drive continuous improvement and high standards of practice.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders.

You will have:

• Experience working with adolescents, care leavers, or looked after children.
• Demonstrable experience of supervising staff and supporting professional development.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and Leaving Care requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
