Job description
Can you turn assistive technology into everyday practice - not just a pilot?
We’re recruiting an Assistive Technology Change Lead to help Bexley Council embed technology-enabled care across adult social care. You’ll help practitioners use technology confidently, improve residents’ independence and demonstrate the difference it makes to care needs and costs.
This is a change leadership role at Team Manager level, rather than a traditional case-holding position.
The role - Lead the implementation of assistive technology and technology-enabled care across adult services.
- Embed TEC into assessments, support planning, reablement and hospital discharge pathways.
- Deliver training and support practitioners to adopt new ways of working.
- Work with commissioners, finance colleagues and providers to improve services and value for money.
- Track uptake, resident outcomes, reduced care needs and financial benefits.
- Involve residents and carers in shaping accessible, person-centred solutions.
What you’ll bring - Team Manager-level experience, or equivalent responsibility leading service change.
- Practical experience of assistive technology, telecare or technology-enabled care.
- Experience delivering change within adult social care or integrated health and care services.
- Confidence engaging practitioners, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Experience using performance and financial information to demonstrate impact.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
An occupational therapy, social care, commissioning or transformation background could suit this role. You don’t need to be a technical developer - you do need to know how to turn technology into better care.
Contract details - £45 per hour
