Associate Commercial Manager - Water

Conrad Consulting is working with a leading consultancy to recruit an experienced Associate or Senior Associate Commercial Manager to support a major water sector project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially experienced professional with a strong background in NEC contracts, particularly someone who has experience in contract formation and pre-contract commercial management.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the development, negotiation and implementation of commercial and contractual arrangements.

• Lead and support commercial management activities on a major water sector project.
• Provide expertise in NEC contract management and formation.
• Support the development and preparation of contract documentation.
• Advise on contractual structures, commercial risks and procurement strategies.
• Assist with contract negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Support effective commercial governance and contractual compliance.
• Provide commercial guidance throughout the pre-contract and delivery stages.

• Extensive experience in commercial management within infrastructure or utilities.
• Around 10 years' experience working with NEC contracts.
• Strong understanding of NEC contract formation.
• Water sector experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and contractual management skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Ability to operate confidently in a client-facing environment.

• Salary of £75,000–£85,000.
• London-based position.
• Hybrid working with 1–2 days per week at the client office/site.
• Opportunity to work on a major water sector programme.
