Are you a patient and resilient Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding opportunity to support young people with additional behavioural and emotional needs?
Do you have experience working with children or young people who require consistent guidance, encouragement, and positive behaviour support?
A specialist school in Newbury is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who may experience SEMH needs, emotional regulation difficulties, challenging behaviour, and additional learning needs.
This Behaviour Mentor role will involve:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
* Building positive and trusting relationships with students
* Supporting pupils to develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
* Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
* Encouraging positive engagement with learning and school routines
* Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and other professionals
* Helping maintain a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
* ASAP start in a well-connected Newbury location
The ideal Behaviour Mentor will be patient, consistent, and confident when supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour. Experience in education, youth work, care, mentoring, or a similar setting would be highly beneficial.
