Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant | BL4, Bolton

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming primary school in the BL4 area of Bolton who are seeking a calm, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to pupils who may experience behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and helping them develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards school.

The role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping children remain focused and engaged
• Encouraging positive choices and behaviour
• Supporting pupils during classroom activities
• Working alongside teachers and support staff
• Helping children develop social and emotional skills
• Reinforcing classroom routines and expectations
• Supporting learning and inclusion across the school

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare, Youth Work or similar qualification OR
• Have at least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK, professionally or voluntarily
• Be calm, patient and consistent
• Have experience or a strong interest in behaviour support
• Be able to build trusting relationships with children
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be committed to safeguarding
