JOINER / BENCH JOINER

Location: Leicester, LE4

Position: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner/Bench Joiner to join a truly unique and bespoke joinery company in Leicester. You'll be producing high quality joinery products with a focus on craftsmanship, accuracy and finish.

The role

• Bench joinery / workshop based production using traditional joinery techniques (with occasional site work if required)
• Reading and working from drawings, cutting lists and specs
• Manufacture and assembly of joinery items (bespoke solid timber products)
• Operating manual workshop machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Maintaining quality standards and meeting production deadlines

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a joiner/bench joiner (workshop experience preferred)
• Experience working with Cross cut saws, Rip saws, Band saws, Chop saws, Spindle Moulders, Tenoners, hand and air tools
• Ability to read technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Due to occasional site work, you will need to drive the company van at times.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in finishing quality
• Good knowledge of woodworking machinery and safe working practices
• Reliable, team-focused, and able to work independently when required
