Briquette Press Operator Location: Corby
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
Contract: Temporary with the opportunity to become permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Looking for a hands-on role where you can get stuck in? We’re looking for a Briquette Press Operator to join a busy manufacturing team in Corby.

You’ll be responsible for operating a briquette press, turning sawdust and wood shavings from the production process into high-quality wood briquettes. It’s a practical role that would suit someone who enjoys working with machinery, is comfortable with physical work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

What will you be doing?

• Operating and monitoring the briquette press
• Keeping the machine supplied with sawdust and wood shavings
• Checking finished briquettes for quality and consistency
• Packing, labelling and palletising finished products
• Clearing blockages and carrying out routine cleaning and checks
• Reporting any machinery faults to the maintenance team
• Keeping the working area clean, tidy and safe
• Following all health and safety procedures

What are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll have some experience operating production machinery, particularly within a manufacturing, timber or similar environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Practical and hands-on
• Reliable and hardworking
• Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and handling
• Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures
• Confident working around machinery
• Able to work well as part of a team

A forklift licence would be an advantage, but it isn't essential.
