Job description
Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of products and the associated supply base.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop effective supplier relationships
- Management of internal stakeholders
- Management of you assigned commodities to ensure continuity of supply
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability across your product portfolio
- Implement opportunities to improve, service, cost, and inventory
- Provide updates on any supply issues, risk and shortages
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a Buying role
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience in using ERP/MRP systems
- Understanding of inventory management principles
- Strong organisation skills
