CAD Technician
£28,000 - £32,000 + Training + Development + Close-Knit Team + Long-Term Role
Derby (Commutable from: Derby, Burton-on-Trent, Stoke-on-Trent, Ashbourne, Stafford, Lichfield, Tamworth)

Are you a CAD Technician looking to join a close-knit design team where you'll receive specific product training whilst developing your design skills? Are you looking to work on varied projects?

This is a permanent position with a well-established specialist business in the events and temporary structures sector, where you will receive on-the-job training and the opportunity to upskill into new areas (including automation) as you grow in the role.

The company are a recognised name in their sector, designing modular, pre-fabricated structures and infrastructure for major events. As a result of continued growth and ongoing project demand, they are now looking to add an additional CAD Technician to support their design function.

In this role you will work on producing designs from a task list / drawing register, producing and updating drawings using existing templates and blocks, uploading work for quality checking, and liaising with the wider project team. You'll be supported by the Design Manager and Senior CAD Technician, with a strong team culture where everyone cross-checks and helps each other.

This role would suit an individual with AutoCAD experience, looking for a stable long-term position with a friendly team environment, opportunities to develop your skills, and the chance to broaden your experience across additional software packages.

The Role:

• Producing and updating drawings using AutoCAD
• Liasing with Construction teams
• Office-based role in Uttoxeter with some flexibility on working hours
• Opportunity to learn additional software (e.g. 3DS Max) and develop automation skills

The Person:

• CAD Technician with at least 1 year AutoCAD experience
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages
• Construction / architecture / built environment background beneficial
