AutoCAD Technician
£35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working + Technical Progression
Loughborough (Commutable from: Loughborough, Kegworth, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Castle Donington, Long Eaton, Coalville, Melton Mowbray)

Do you have AutoCAD experience? Are you looking to join a thriving electrical contractor where you will receive industry-specific training to produce technical drawings for commercial electrical projects?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established contractor offering hands-on training, varied projects and a clear progression route towards CAD Manager as you develop your technical skills.

The company specialises in commercial electrical installations for blue-chip clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their drawing office with an AutoCAD Technician who can develop their skills within a supportive team.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing and updating AutoCAD drawings, managing revisions, coordinating drawing submissions and ensuring the latest information is issued to project teams and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD experience, ideally within construction, building services or engineering. You will be organised, proactive and keen to develop your technical skills within a growing business.

The Role:

• Producing and updating AutoCAD drawings
• Managing drawing submissions, revisions and tracking updates
• Issuing drawings to engineers and coordinating with project teams
• Supporting design coordination and developing technical drawing skills
• Hybrid working: 3 days office-based, 1-2 days from home, with occasional site visits

The Person:

• Experience using AutoCAD
• Background in building services, construction or civil engineering (electrical drawing experience advantageous)
• Organised, proactive and able to manage workloads independently
• Keen to learn, develop and progress within a growing team
