Location: Welford, Northamptonshire, UK
Salary: £31,493 to £34,495 (sleep allowance included)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Residential Support Worker in Welford. This role involves supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a safe, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, appropriate to their age.
• Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
• Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
• Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
• Support children and young people in promoting their independence and overall well-being.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and reward systems.
• Support young people through taxing behaviours safely and sympathetically.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with Young People is desirable but not essential.
• Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
• Must hold a full UK driver’s licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
• Must be over the age of 21.
• Ability to commute to Welford
