Location: Leicester
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Technician to join an ambitious and growing engineering consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across varying scales, supporting the delivery of high-quality civil engineering designs for development and infrastructure schemes.

The successful candidate will have experience in development-led projects, particularly within residential and mixed-use developments, with a strong understanding of site set-up, roads, and drainage design.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed civil engineering drawings and design packages for development projects.
• Support the design and delivery of:
  • Site layouts and infrastructure
  • Roads and highways
  • Drainage and sewerage systems
  • Residential and commercial developments
• Work closely with engineers and project teams to develop practical design solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings and project documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including developers, housebuilders, and local authorities where required.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience as a Civil Technician within a consultancy, developer, or housebuilder environment.
• Experience working on a range of project sizes and sectors.
• Knowledge of site development, roads, and sewer design.
• Strong detailing and drawing production capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Skills

Essential

• Autodesk AutoCAD – Expert level proficiency.
• Autodesk Civil 3D – Competent user.
• Site3D – Competent user.
• Knowledge of Autodesk InfoDrainage (formerly MicroDrainage/Inflow).
• Knowledge of Causeway Flow.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience using MailManager.
