About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced CMM Programmer to join a well-established manufacturing business. Working on a permanent day shift, you will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), ensuring components meet customer specifications and quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong PC-DMIS programming experience who is looking to join a growing company offering a stable, long-term position.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS software.
- Create new CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Update and optimise existing programs to improve efficiency and inspection accuracy.
- Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections of manufactured components.
- Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances (GD&T) and customer specifications.
- Complete ISIR/FAIR documentation and carry out drawing ballooning where required.
- Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvements within the CMM inspection process.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and health and safety procedures.
About You
- Previous experience as a CMM Programmer within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong programming experience using PC-DMIS.
- Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Ability to create and modify inspection programs from engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of ISIR/FAIR documentation and drawing ballooning.
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good general engineering knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
