CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator (Heidenhain) - 5 Axis

Location: Rugby
Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 DOE
Hours: Dayshift | Early Finish Every Friday
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Actio Recruitment are assisting a precision engineering manufacturer in Rugby with the recruitment of an experienced CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to join their growing machining team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business producing high-precision components. The successful candidate will be working on modern 5-axis CNC milling machines, programming, setting and operating using Heidenhain controls.

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Editing and proving out programs using Heidenhain controls
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures
• Carrying out self-inspection using standard measuring equipment
• Maintaining high standards of quality and productivity
• Working closely with the manufacturing and engineering teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator
• Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls
• Experience programming and machining on 5-axis milling machines
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Confident working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Apprentice trained or time-served machinist preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• £37,000 - £39,000 per annum depending on experience
