CNC Milling Setter/Operator
 

Location: Market Harborough
Pay: £17.50 – £19.50 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Day shift
 

Are you a CNC Milling Setter/Operator looking for a proper engineering role with good machinery, varied work, and pay that sits above the local average?
 

This is a great opportunity to join a long-established, family-run precision engineering business that has been producing high-quality machined components for decades. They have a strong reputation for quality, service and long-term stability, and they are now looking to add an experienced CNC Miller to their team.
 

You will be working on modern CNC milling machinery, including vertical machining centres, producing precision components for a range of customers. The work will suit someone who enjoys setting, operating, working from drawings, checking their own work and taking pride in getting the job right.
 

The Role

As a CNC Milling Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Working on vertical machining centres, including Doosan machinery
• Producing precision machined components from engineering drawings
• Carrying out basic programme edits where needed
• Checking your own work using measuring equipment
• Working to tight tolerances and quality standards
• Producing small to medium batch work
• Keeping your work area organised and machines running efficiently
   

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as a CNC Milling Setter/Operator
• Good knowledge of setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Confident use of measuring equipment
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• A quality-focused attitude
• Reliability, good attention to detail and pride in your work

Experience with Doosan machines would be beneficial, but not essential.
