Job description
TXM Recruit are working with an award winning Facilities Maintenance company who are looking for a long-term Commecial Gas Engineer on a temp-perm basis.The successful candidate will be tasked with carrying out the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial gas-fired heating and hot water systems across a range of commercial, industrial and public sector properties.
All works are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedure.
The work will be covering 3 large MOD sites in Warwickshire.
Responsiblities include:
- Service, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on commercial boilers, warm air heaters, water heaters and associated controls.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
- Complete gas safety inspections and issue relevant certification.
- Install and commission commercial gas appliances and associated pipework systems.
- Carry out combustion analysis and system performance checks.
- Ensure compliance with Gas Safety Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Accurately complete service reports, worksheets and certification electronically.
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers and subcontractors.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota where required.
- Identify and report any remedial works or health and safety concerns.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in good condition
Pay £21.90 per hour PAYE. - £45,552 per annum starting salary
12 weeks temp-perm
Required qualifications
- Current Gas Safe Registration.
- Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications including:
- CODNCO1 (Core Commercial Gas Safety)
- CIGA1
- CORT1
- ICPN1
- TPCP1 / TPCP1A
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Gas Engineering or Mechanical Services
