£45,000 – £48,000 (depending on experience)

The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas & Heating Engineer to join their established team. This is a field-based role working across a mix of commercial sites including schools, factories, and industrial units, with some domestic work included.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for long-term stability, varied work, and ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial heating systems
• Fault finding and diagnostics on boilers and associated systems
• Routine maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency
• Occasional domestic work
• Working from technical drawings and specifications
• Ensuring all work meets current regulations and standards
• Delivering high levels of customer service
• Completing job reports and documentation accurately

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial gas role
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on commercial and domestic systems
• Full UK driving licence

Qualifications (Essential)

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or above)
• Commercial Gas: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, BMP1
• Domestic Gas: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1

Desirable Skills

• Oil, solid fuel, or catering tickets
• Experience with ASHPs or alternative fuels
• Familiarity with mobile job management systems
