Configuration Engineer / Configuration Support Engineer
Close to Leicester (fully onsite) - around 15 mins from J21 M1 – Leicester Forest Junction.
12 months (likely to extend)
Mon – Fri, 8:00am – 4:00pm (some flexibility available)
Rate: £35 ph FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed Inside IR35) / £25.50 ph PAYE
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Configuration Support Engineer to join a busy technical engineering team. This is a fully onsite role based in Close to Leicester (around 15 mins from J21 M1 – Leicester Forest Junction), providing vital support across product configurations, engineering data management, and process improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in maintaining engineering master models, machine bills of materials, and implementing design changes across current and new products.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review engineering change data and documentation to ensure compliance with change management policies.
• Communicate and coordinate changes with product development, supply chain, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare configuration documentation to support product development and machine product groups.
• Support process improvement projects and ensure accuracy of engineering data.
• Work collaboratively across global teams to manage multiple priorities and conflicting timelines.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Teamcenter Engineering and PTC Creo (or similar tools).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and apply basic project management principles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in diverse or global teams.
• Preferred experience with Configuration Controls & Manufacturing Data Updates within OEM Manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, rail, or similar engineering/manufacturing sectors.
• Degree in engineering or relevant experience is desirable (or equivalent experience).
