Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools
Location: Melton Mowbray and Leicester area available
Competitive daily starting from £110 per day | Full-time & part-time opportunities available

Are you confident managing a classroom and looking to gain experience within secondary schools?

New Directions are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in Leicestershire.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher and help maintain a positive learning environment. No planning or marking required.

This role is ideal for:
• Graduates considering teacher training
• Experienced Teaching Assistants ready for the next step
• Individuals with coaching, mentoring or youth work experience
• Anyone confident working with secondary-aged students

Responsibilities include:
• Supervising whole-class lessons using pre-set work
• Managing classroom behaviour positively and professionally
• Supporting students to stay focused and engaged
• Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies

The ideal candidate will:
• Be confident leading a classroom
• Have strong communication skills
• Be reliable, adaptable and professional
• Have experience working with young people (preferred)
