General Cover Supervisor

We’re looking for a confident, reliable Cover Supervisor who can walk into a classroom, take charge and keep students on track.

What you'll be doing:

• Cover lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, following work already set by the teacher.
• Keep students focused, engaged and behaving appropriately.
• Set clear boundaries and manage behaviour confidently - you’ll need to be comfortable taking control of a room.
• Build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Register students and communicate any issues or concerns to the relevant staff.
• Move between different subjects and year groups throughout the day, so no two days are quite the same.
• Be part of a school where being proud, respectful and kind is central to the culture.

• Excellent behaviour management - calm, consistent and confident without needing to be confrontational.
• Reliable and punctual - good timekeeping is essential.
• Comfortable working with teenagers and able to command a classroom.
• A natural authority and the confidence to deal with challenging situations.
• Adaptable - happy covering anything from Year 7 through to Sixth Form.
• Organised, professional and able to follow instructions.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and wants them to do well.
