Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for your next opportunity?

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in the Burnley area. This is a full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional to support pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.

Position Details

• Job Title: Cover Supervisor

• Location: Burnley area, Lancashire

• Start Date: ASAP

• Contract Type: Full-time

• Daily Rate: £80 – £100 per day, depending on experience

About the Cover Supervisor Role

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain focused on their work

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Support pupils with their learning and answer questions where appropriate

• Maintain a positive, calm and productive classroom environment

• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour

• Work across a range of subjects and year groups

• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures

The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will

• Have previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

• Have experience supervising classes or groups of pupils

• Be confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations

• Have excellent communication and organisational skills

• Be adaptable and confident working across different subjects and year groups

• Be committed to supporting pupils' learning and development

• Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people

• Provide details of the 2 most recent references, covering the last 5 years' work history

• Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of registration

• Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy the required safeguarding and compliance checks
