Cover Supervisors & TAs Wanted – Ruislip | £115–£165/day

Flexible work in West London secondary schools | Daily & long-term opportunities

Principal Education is looking for Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants and Unqualified Teachers to work in secondary schools across West London, with a particular focus on Ruislip and the surrounding areas.

Whether you’re an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, graduate, aspiring teacher, youth worker, sports coach, behaviour mentor or someone with strong experience working with young people, we may have opportunities to suit you.

We offer flexible daily supply work, as well as longer-term opportunities depending on your experience and availability.

The Roles

Cover Supervisors
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and maintain a safe, positive and productive learning environment. No lesson planning is required.

Teaching Assistants
Support teachers and pupils across the classroom, including students with SEN and additional learning needs, helping pupils remain engaged and make progress.

Unqualified Teachers
Ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers and experienced education professionals looking to gain further classroom experience. Opportunities are available across a range of secondary schools and subjects.

What You MUST demonstrate

• Experience working with children or young people, whether in education, youth work, sports, behaviour support or a similar setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Ability to support pupils with SEN and additional needs

• Flexibility, reliability and adaptability

• Confidence working in different classroom and school environments

• A genuine interest in supporting young people's learning and development

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

• Right to work in the UK

• An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application

• Overseas police clearance if you have lived abroad for 6+ months within the last 5 years

• Based in West London, Ruislip or a nearby area with a manageable commute

Pay & Benefits

• £115–£165 per day, depending on experience and role
