Competent Van Driver Wanted - Immediate Start!

Location: Leicester
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Type: Temporary, Full-Time (12-Month Project)

Are you an experienced Van Driver with confidence driving larger commercial vehicles?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Competent Van Driver to join a busy construction project in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to secure 12 months of work on a long-term project. The role involves driving long wheelbase Sprinter vans and Luton vans, collecting materials, carrying out deliveries, and making trips to local recycling centres and suppliers as required.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Experience driving long wheelbase Sprinter vans and/or Luton vans

• Confident driving larger commercial vehicles

• Good knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices

Roles & Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicles to and from site

• Collecting and delivering construction materials

• Carrying out trips to recycling centres and waste disposal facilities

• Assisting with loading and unloading when required

• Completing daily vehicle checks

• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time

• Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with suppliers and site teams

Requirements

• Previous experience driving larger commercial vehicles

• Reliable and punctual

• Good communication skills

• Able to work independently

• Construction site experience is advantageous

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all site health and safety procedures

• Ensure vehicles are operated safely and legally

• Wear appropriate PPE whilst on site

• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle
